I've been asked by my supervisor why yum check-update can't provide the change log info when it notifies of new updates available, without having to access another site to see what the patch will do first before proceeding with a yum update. I'm thinking this is beyond the scope of yum and within the realm of the individual package developers, however has it been considered before? If the change log could be viewed "verbosely" as an optional parameter, I guess this would keep him happy! Tess
