Then I'd suggest that the sample yum.conf in the rpm be updated to 
reflect the new reality.  Rendering something as valuable as yum 
unusable without an example solution seems rather counterproductive 
to this user.

In this case, it appears that the repo format has changed, requireing 
repo maintainers to mirror an additional copy just for the new 
format.  Some will, and some won't for various reasons related to 
admin time and available space.

So, how long is it going to take to get to the point where we have 
repo's that are compatible?  And a list of such published?
