Is there any way to force yum to install a certain architecture instead of
the host machine's architecture? i.e. I'm running a i686 and want to
install i586 RPMs.

I have tried setting %_arch or %arch in the rpmmacros file and also tried
running it inside setarch but none of this seems to make any difference.
