I realize this must have crossed yum developers' mind > and it's probably hard to do (judging from the time it takes to calculate > the dependencies as is), but I can't help bringing it up. A similar issue: I have the following entry in yum.conf [Freshrpms.net] name=Fedora core 1 Freshrpms.net baseurl=http://ayo.freshrpms.net/fedora/linux/1/$basearch/freshrpms in addition to the Fedora Core development mirror. If connection to ayo.freshrpms.net fails (which it does quite often for some reason), the whole "yum update" batch fails. The same goes for the livna.org server. To me it would make more sense if yum went ahead and updated at least the Fedora Core devel packages. > it would be nice to see something like > > [update: gnome-desktop 2.5.90-1.i38 ==> 2.5.91-1.i386] > [update: libgnomeprint15 1:0.37-8.1.i386 ==> 1:0.37-8.2.i386] > Is this ok [y/N]: (The same applies to "yum check-update", too. -- v -- v@xxxxxx
