[Yum] redirecting stdin causes traceback

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Simple problem, yum gives a traceback if it can't read from stdin:

# yum install gsl </dev/null
[..snip..]
[install: gsl 1.4-1.x86_64]
Is this ok [y/N]: Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/yum", line 30, in ?
    yummain.main(sys.argv[1:])
  File "/usr/share/yum/yummain.py", line 321, in main
    if clientStuff.userconfirm():
  File "/usr/share/yum/clientStuff.py", line 695, in userconfirm
    choice = raw_input('Is this ok [y/N]: ')
EOFError: EOF when reading a line

Of course, -y avoids the error.
