[Yum] yum 2.0.X daily release

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,
 The Special leap day release!

Changes:
- implemented use of rpmdb-yourdistro(ex: rpmdb-fedora, rpmdb-redhat)
use for cache priming
- documented usecachedb, usecomps options.

These features are simple speedups to allow yum to use commonly-
installed local stores of headers for priming it's header cache, rather
than downloading them off the, apparently, overloaded mirrors.

Really simple implementation, nothing fancy or new.

See below for links - let me know what I broke.

Tarball:

Source rpm:

RPM - built on fedora core 2, test 1 (ish):

rpm

Thanks,
-sv
