There's a new version of logger up. It now supports syslog logging quite nicely, IMHO. http://linux.duke.edu/projects/mini/logger/ I'll probably take a look at logging in yum and see how it might be worked in. I won't do anything yet because I expect opinions might differ wildly about what The Right Thing is.
