[Yum] yum is trying to update an i586 with i686 packages

Hi all,
   Using 1.0.3 with Mandrake 8.2 on a normal i586 Pentium.  For some
reason 'yum update' is trying to install i686 packages.  'uname -m'
correctly reports "i586".

yum.conf at http://sol.usc.edu/~garrick/yum.conf
'yum -d 6 update' at http://sol.usc.edu/~garrick/yum.out

This happens when pkgpolicy is newest or last.
