ok, just to make sure, as i read it, if you're running yum in "intolerant" mode and any of the command line args don't "make sense", the entire command is discarded and no changes are made. by not "making sense", that would mean perhaps some variation of the following: 1) trying to install an already-installed package 2) trying to update a non-installed package 3) trying to remove a non-installed package(??) 4) others ??? however, in "tolerant" mode, any problematic arguments are just skipped and the rest are still processed. is that about right? rday
