I know why this error happens.  It looks like the urllib in 1.5.2 does
not deal well with user:pass in proxies.  In fact, it doesn't deal
with them at all.  I don't know how about 2.2.  I don't have access to
a password-based proxy (or do I?) to test on.  In any event, we're not
likely to work on a solution for yum 1.x, so you'll need to either
find a way to upgrade (I THINK this is discussed on this list in the
archives) or not use a password-based proxy.

I will make password-based proxies a priority in urlgrabber TNV,
although it may already Just Work.
