OK, I just installed 0.9.4 on Red Hat 8.0 and everything seems to be working. I updated a package with "yum update" for fun! Very nice. Now, I am serving up the headers thru apache 2.0, but that may not be the best way. To make sure apache was serving up the headers, I browsed from mozilla on another machine to the /headers directory and it was slow, slow, slow. Every file eventually showed up in my browser, but I think the .hdr extension was giving the server heartburn. My error_log was full of this: [Thu Feb 13 19:22:47 2003] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] (20514)End of file found: mod_mime_magic: read failed /datacore/updates.redhat.com/headers/kernel-BOOT-0-2.4.18-24.8.0.i386.hdr [Thu Feb 13 19:22:50 2003] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] (20514)End of file found: mod_mime_magic: read failed /datacore/updates.redhat.com/headers/postgresql-python-0-7.2.3-5.80.i386.hdr ... I think I am going to try vsftpd. Any opinions on http vs. ftp? Best Regards, Keith -- LPIC-2, MCSE, N+ We drive on this highway of fire Got spam? Get spastic http://spastic.sourceforge.net
