>> Let me know what I broke << Nothing that I can find... yet... several things worked including: I wanted to look at k3b, googled, and found: http://k3b.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/index.pl/download which contains a yum.conf sample: [xcyb-stable] name=Fedora Core 1 ( xcyborg / stable ) baseurl=http://rpms.xcyb.org/fedora/1/stable/ I added that to my yum.conf and tried yum install k3b and got a working install that included dependencies from FC1 base and freshrpms. I'm sure glad I didn't have to figure that out by hand. ck
