However, it might be reasonable to just put a special char next to each package or group based on it's type so output something like: yum grouplist foo Group: foo Groups: Somemandatorygroup * somedefaultgroup/metapkg + someoptionalgroup/metapkg Packages: somemandatorypkg * somedefaultpkg + someoptionalgarbage -sv
