Hi All - Today RedHat released updates to the mm and mm-devel packages. I plunked them into my repository, and ran yum-arch. The packages that I fetched from RedHat hav valid checksums, but when I run 'yum update' I get the following: --snip, snip -- [erik@trial ~erik]$ /usr/sbin/yum -y update mm Gathering package information from servers Getting headers from: Redhat Updates Getting headers from: Ximian Updates Finding updated packages Downloading needed headers Finding obsoleted packages Resolving dependencies Dependencies resolved I will do the following: [update: mm.i386] I will install/upgrade these to satisfy the depedencies: [deps: mm-devel.i386] Error: MD5 Signature check failed for /var/cache/yum/updates/packages/mm-devel-1.1.3-8.i386.rpm You may want to run yum clean or remove the file: /var/cache/yum/updates/packages/mm-devel-1.1.3-8.i386.rpm Exiting. -- snip -- Is there something I'm missing here? All the other packages work perfectly. Where does yum get/check/keep package md5sums? Thanks - e. Seth - This stuff kicks butt. Thanks for all your work that you've put into this. -- e r i k w i l l i a m s o n erik@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx system admin . department of computer science . university of calgary
