I was thinking about a corollary feature of:
  yum whatprovides /something/here/

equivalently the same thing.

It could relatively easily find the right package(s) then prompt the
user if they wanted to install that.

Either way the same function is required - something that traverses the
file lists and provides in each header and looks for a pattern match
(probably an fnmatch)
