Refer to following URL http://code.google.com/p/soc/issues/detail?id=1640 The first method will not work but the work around link will work. STEPS: 1. Go to http://google-melange.appspot.com/ 2. Click on Log In (left hand side menu), enter google account credentials and get log in 3. When directed again to http://google-melange.appspot.com/ , enter the following URL http://www.google-melange.com/gci/profile/mentor/google/gci2012 4. Enter details and create your profile 5. Then go to http://www.google-melange.com/gci/dashboard/google/gci2012#request_to_become_mentor and request to become a member. Then it is done, try it and please let me know if there are any issues.
