I note that here: http://debuginfo.centos.org/5/x86_64/ they have both the "centos.plus" version that you have installed, as well as what would appear to be the one that you actually want: kernel-debuginfo-2.6.18-274.17.1.el5.centos.plus.x86_64.rpm 11-Jan-2012 18:57 200M kernel-debuginfo-2.6.18-274.17.1.el5.x86_64.rpm 11-Jan-2012 01:59 179M I would install the kernel-debuginfo-2.6.18-274.17.1.el5.x86_64.rpm and its associated kernel-debuginfo-common-2.6.18-274.7.1.el5.x86_64.rpm packages.
