The vmlinuz file is a compressed, stripped-down, and otherwise-manipulated file that is created from the /usr/src/linux-2.6.35.3/vmlinux file -- which is the file that crash requires. And the vmlinux-to-bzImage process would not change the compiled-in kernel virtual addresses that you see if you do this: # nm -Bn /usr/src/linux-2.6.35.3/vmlinux If it does, then that's news to me...
