I can't answer why, but it's simply a matter that the "linux_banner" pointer at address ffffffff803d42c8 contains a zero. That all presumes that the translation of the the kernel virtual address ffffffff803d42c8 into its location in the dumpfile is correct, and that the dumpfile contents are legitimate.
