Thanks. This is definitely the direction we want to go!

I wonder whether our new save format should be Elf too. I'm not sure it will
buy us anything much, but perhaps the dump format will be extensible enough
if we define suitable extra Elf notes for the extra non-cpu state that we
need. Something to think about.
