Or is there something else I could do?Well, of course the best thing would be adding support for it into libvirt =) If it is backwards compatible with the latest version that has support in libvirt, then it shouldn't be a problem, I think, but I have very limited experience with the vbox driver in libvirt. Feel free to have a look at the code and let me know, I'm sure we'll come up with something. In the meantime I'll compile the 5.0.8 version (so I don't have to agree with the PUEL license) and see what I can do.
So I went ahead, compiled the 5.0.8, installed it, modified libvirt to use the 5.0.8 the same way as it already does use 4.3.4 and, of course, they are not compatible. I then spent some time looking at the code and trying to find out what needs to be changed, but it turned out the code is not easy to follow for someone who hadn't looked at it. I don't have enough time to work on that, but it might be a good idea for someone to implement. And the patches would be very welcome, I believe =) Have a nice day, Martin
