Does it mean that a virsh attach-device --config    (AFAIK ,  taken in account at next guest reboot) should work 
by using release to 1.1.1 ?

Yes, you can hotplug the device: virsh attach-device --live ...
It's supposed to be implemented since the 1.1.1 release.
