To really fix the wrong topology this should be
+        nodeinfo->sockets = nodeinfo->cpus + offline;
+        nodeinfo->cores = 1;
A matter of taste but I would have chosen cores to contain the number of CPUs, but fake is fake ... so that's OK :-).
