Great! After fixing some problems I at least got the nwfilter part to work and the TCK test suite passed without a problem. I didn't test firewalld shutdown and restart interaction so far.
I would like to massage the nwfilter part a little bit more tomorrow and send you a patch you can then merge with this one.
