First I don't see any good reason to try to bump the major release number :-) so next release is expected to be 0.9.10, hope there isn't disapointment ;-) [1] Second I would really like to keep the monthly shedule, and have the release done by February 6 or earlier, so this would mean entering the 0.9.10 freeze on Monday 30, i.e. in a bit less than two weeks.
