Regarding future additions:

         IO_BW_Softlimit
         IO_BW_Hardlimit
         IO_BW_percentage

IO would need API as well as XML config changes. Does ESX also support Block
IO bandwidth control?

Does anyone know if it's possible to control/manage/limit/(etc) the IO in terms other than bandwidth?

Just thinking that for hard drive technology, the # of IO's per second can be just as important as the overall bandwidth.

If it's not something that's controllable by anything we support though, then it probably doesn't matter. ;)
