This was initiated by the following issue: https://gitlab.com/libvirt/libvirt/-/issues/681 and I tried to add support for VBOX-7.1 but unfortunately got hit by a bug in VBOX which renders the way we initialize C bindings useless. I've reported the bug here: https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/22224 but it didn't get any attention.
