This is the current status, but there is no guarantee that a future
versioned machine type will not enable the feature by default. I
would just say

  If the attribute is not defined, the hypervisor default will
  be used.

as is the case for several existing features.

Of course this will need updating since 10.3.0 has already entered
freeze.
