The lxc route sounds like a decent stop-gap measure until either the current box is upgraded or everything is moved off to a new box running CentOS 7, whenever that might be. Either way it seems pretty clear that we're not going to take back making GnuTLS mandatory (neither I think we should), so the CI job running on CentOS 6 is entirely useless now.
