I thought about that, but rpcgen is not clever enough:

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
rpc/virnetprotocol.x, line 43: expected ';'
cannot shutdown /usr/bin/rpcgen:  at ./rpc/genprotocol.pl line 139.
