I doubt something like ARCH_CANONICAL() could ever be implemented,
but I'm all for cleaning up the current logic and moving it to
a single place for easier maintenance.

virQEMUCapsFindTarget() can be considered a first step in that
direction. A lot more work is still needed, though.
