...are you saying that open-iscsi and the kernel are different trees? As
far as I can see the latest kernel for Xen in Gentoo is 2.6.21, is the
current Xen code in the vanilla kernel stable (enough)?

1) Lacks a newline
2) In gentoo the pointer is ../../sda or something like it, so it is
physically the same device. I don't really know if it has any influence,
but it looks dirty to me.
