Since these scripts only work with initrd injection, I think we need
some kind of indication xml & api to indicate the need for that to the
Apps. Perhaps a boolean 'initrd-injection-required' in the script xml
and corresponding getter on InstallScript class?

Sounds good to me. I can do this work (and the work in boxes-side as well) in a near future.
 
I've not tested it but I think you can download a preseed file also from
the network, so it shouldn't be different from the kickstart files
already generated and supported by libosinfo.

You're partially right, Giuseppe. It should not be different from the kickstart files.
They also say they support preseed files in the exactly same way that kickstart files are supported[0].
However, it does not work in this way.
I think Zeeshan has a bug opened asking they about this (or maybe I have, anyway), but no answers at all.
