If we are not going to have a 3.10 ISO (which your initial paragraph seems to imply), then I feel it would be better to have a good story as to how we are going to support .qcow2 images before adding this. In this specific case, I don't think it's a good idea to add info meant for GNOME live cd images, and tell applications that this info is also good for GNOME os tree qcow2 images, the requirements for the 2 OSes could end up being different.
