Thanks!  I didn't realize you could programmatically change vt's in the anaconda image.

You can use chvt (and possibly exec with redirection) to switch to another
virtual termnial (usually VT3) in the %pre script, ask a user for input, then
switch back to VT1 (or 6 if you didn't specify a text based kickstart) and let
the kickstart continue.
