Excuse me, for answering my own post...
I managed to fix the cdrom eject issue.
Using unsquashfs worked, and the CD worked OK after editing.
Previously we tried 'cp -rp' and 'tar' the stage2.img to an rw
directory.
But always got the "can't find cd' issue.
We used;
changing usr/lib/anaconda/dispatch.py reversing these lines.
("methodcomplete", doMethodComplete, ),
("dopostaction", doPostAction, ),
