Uncompressing Linux booting the kernel...hangs.

Hi,

I am sure people would have seen this…

I am trying to Kickstart a Dell PE1850.  I have connected a monitor/keyboard to it.  When I Kickstart it I could load the image (vmlinux and initrd).  Then it says:

Uncompressing Linux…Ok

Booting the kernel

Then it hangs there.

Now after a couple of minutes when I type ALT+F3, ALT+F4 etc. going through the virtual terminals, I see the installation process and then the Kickstart completes.

But I don’t see it on the first window.

I have disabled Console Redirection on the BIOS.  Is there something to do with the terminal…tty stuff.

I have a similar issue going on with VMware installation with Kickstart as well.  I can’t type ALT+F3, ALT+F4 etc. going through the virtual terminals on the VMware install.  And also the installs don’t complete.

Appreciate the help.

Regards
