¿Can you post your full kickstart to have a look on it? Have you checked the availability of each command used on VT2 while kickstarting? Try to wrap your %pre script with something like: %pre ( ) 2>&1 | tee -a /tmp/ks-pre.log And have a look at ks-pre.log to check what's wrong.
