Thanks Chip, As I've just find out is a bit more complicated, the machine has an embedded array controller and a PCI one, with 2.4 kernels the embedded is cciss/c0d0 but with 2.6 kernels is cciss/c2d0, so the CCISS driver is initialising the devices in a different order. I wonder if is there any way to have cciss/c0d0 as the embedded one always.
