More details needed.... Please explain "segfault" - is that a genuine
"signal 11" error? What does the error message say?

OK, so you can't get to the VT2 bash because it hasn't loaded the
second-stage anaconda image.

How dead? (Locked up and unpingable dead? Can't even make NumLock LED
light up on the keyboard dead?)
