FTP servers don't have to log you straight into "/", or even a fake chroot-ed "/". So wget takes the combination of the reported login directory ("/" in this case), and the directory given in the URL ("var/redhat.disks/redhat-9.0/RedHat/base"), sticks them together and tries to cd to /var/redhat.disks/redhat-9.0/RedHat/base, which fails. Are you sure the FTP server is set up and working properly for that directory structure? Cheers, Phil
