Some of my RH9 installs are on machines that do not have access to the network install server, so they must install from a [customised] cd set. However, after the install they must still be able to complete a number of tasks via the network (looking for updates, syncing time etc). This is done in the usual fashion in the %post section. However, when I try to bring up the network in %post (via ifup), the dhcp client is unable to complete its task. Obviously this can be done with the tools on the install, but I can't see how/where. Has anyone done this successfully? Thanks in advance.
