Egan,
Here's my situation. I have a machine with 3 nics and want to install using
eth2. My ks.cfg is in the initrd.img on the boot disk (I'm not getting the
ks.cfg file from the network). My kernel options in syslinux.cfg are
append ks=file:/ks.cfg initrd=initrd.img lang= text devfs=nomount
ramdisk_size=7168
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you specify ksdevice=device if you want
to grab the ks.cfg over the network. However, FYI, I even tried your
suggestion just in case but still no luck.
Appreciate if someone could help point out what I am missing?
Did you pass ksdevice=eth2 as a kernel parameter?

Subject: How to install over eth2?
Hi folks,
My kickstart install does not seem to recognize the ks.cfg static ip info
for eth0 and eth2 and immediately sets eth0 to DHCP. The following is an
excerpt of my ks.cfg:
lang en_US
langsupport --default en_US en_US
keyboard us
mouse none
skipx
device eth e100 --opts "e100_speed_duplex=4"
device eth e100 --opts "e100_speed_duplex=4"
device eth e100 --opts "e100_speed_duplex=4" <--- works fine till this
line
network --device eth0 --bootproto static --ip aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd --netmask
255.255.255.240 <--- does not work as expected from here on
network --device eth2 --bootproto static --ip www.xxx.yyy.zzz --netmask
255.255.255.192 --gateway www.xxx.yyy.1
