9.0.93beta/9.1 evaluation

I'm already planning to roll our enterprise up to 9.1 over the winter, purely to maintain errata support. We've got a stable, clean 7.3 shop here, but I need updates, and we're not paying thousands of dollars for the privilege. Off that soapbox, I have two questions. I'm about to rebuild one of our servers, and I'm of the opinion that the time is ripe for building a 9.x box.

What's the consensus evaluation on Severn? As I see it, this is 9 with patches and updates. I'm running it on a workstation, and it seems fine and dandy.

What's the estimated release date on 9.1/10/X? Obviously, that one needs to be handled by someone@xxxxxxxxxx, and my last inquiry directed to someone@xxxxxxxxxx went unanswered. I think we'd all appreciate a little notice here, just a ballpark figure.
