The main problem is that you try to copy
from no-chroot to chroot!

i.e.
better: (http://redhat.pacific.net.au/redhat/linux/8.0/it/doc/RH-DOCS/rhl-cg-en-
8.0/s1-kickstart2-postinstallconfig.html)

%post --nochroot
NEWSYSROOT=/mnt/sysimage
[ -e /mnt/source/myfile ] && cp /mnt/source/myfile ${NEWSYSROOT}/myfile \
                          || echo "copy error" >> ${NEWSYSROOT}/tmp/error.log
