You do 'not' need to modify comps.xml as of redhat-9 if you add the package to the %packages section in ks.cfg You 'do' need to run genhdlist --withnumbers though to rebuild the hdlist files. My custom distribution fits on one cd, so I have not had to run splitdistro or rebuild the installer or any of that fun. I just drop the file into RedHat/RPMS, run genhdlist --withnumbers, and run makeiso. -- ---------- Vince.Skahan@xxxxxxxxxx --------- Connexion by Boeing - Cabin Network -----Original Message----- From: Tim Moloney [mailto:moloney@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, July 15, 2003 11:32 AM To: kickstart-list@xxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Including nonstandard RPMs in the KS install Robert Denton wrote: > That didn't work with some of the packages I attempted such as mrtg. To do this, follow the instructions here[1]. A quicker and easier way is to simply install the RPMs in the %post section. You'll have to mount the CDROM first which is described here[2].
