why not a grubcheck option?

I may be a little behind the curve because I work primarily with 7.3 at work and 8 at home. Still, the only preinstallation check I see anywhere is "lilocheck", and grub has been the default bootloader supported and installed since version 7.something. Why isn't there a grubcheck yet, and how else would I implement this sort of feature in a grub-based installation?
