.discinfo solved my problem.

it is a difference between RH8 and RH9 (not a copy problem)

 

BTW, the crash in anaconda in "HD installation" from the cd-image.iso still exists, but it is not important for me.

How did you copy the files from the CDROM?  You may have missed the
hidden .discinfo files.
