Have you considered using CDs to boot with instead? Floppies are a
losing solution going forward because the kernel and needed support for
things keeps growing yet floppies are fixed at 1.44 megs :(

Another cloud on the horizon for floppy-based installs is that, in time,
floppy drives may fall out of fashion. Dell has them as option-only
for some of their workstations:
