I think you just need to redirrect your output to /dev/tty0, but I could be wrong. The other thing that people do is run the chvt command to move from the blue screen to the tty the script is running on (which is not the same as the blue screen (-;). In my %post section (which is working now), I have several echo statements to track progress, however, these don't show on screen. I'm also not sure what text file on the system (like install.log) would contain this info.
